Statement: During my Council service I have served the Citizens of Burrillville to the best of my ability. During this time I have been working hard on three important issues: broadening the tax base while preserving the rural nature of the Town, addressing the concerns of our older citizens with fixed incomes, and preserving and strengthening our infrastructure and recreational resources. I have been successful in retaining Daniele Prosciutto Inc., and am working to attract a major truck body company to the site of Western Sand and Gravel. I will continue to work to attract clean industry to Burrillville. As Vice-President of the Burrillville Senior Citizens I am well aware of the hardships people on fixed incomes endure. I have worked very hard to maintain the present property tax rate and will continue to do so. Burrillville is a growing community and I have worked within the Council to insure that the schools, roads, and recreational facilities have grown with the Town. I supported the High School renovation and Spring Lake Development, and am working on the Library and Stillwater Projects, and the Rezoning Plan for highway 102. The present Council has achieved a lot but there is still a lot to do. As President of the Council I feel I was able to make a major contribution to those past achievements and I would ask you to vote for me and give me the opportunity to finish what I have started. |
