Statement: "It seems to be that I was the last to know that I was running once again for the position of Councilman. I was very happy serving as a Councilman for the people of Burrillville dealing on the local level directly with the people. I am concerned with seeing several projects completed: the Stillwater Complex, the Route 102 Study Commission, the Route 107 (East Avenue & Chapel Street) sidewalk and resurfacing construction, the Pascoag Main Street Redevelopment, the Maple Hill Mobile Home Infrastructure. We are very close to meeting the final phase in obtaining funding and completing the project plans for each of these areas. Some are further along such as Maple Hill and Pascoag Main Street. I would also like to see the rest of the State Route known as the Victory Highway completed as was promised by the State back in the '90's. I am no stranger in dealing effectively with the State House having lobbied for educational legislation and funding for the Town as a member of the School Committee. As a Councilman I lobbied for protecting Zambarano Hospital, assisting the Pascoag Utility District's water emergency and State for reallocation of revenues already designated to the Town supplementing our tax base, yet somehow legislated out. As a School Committee member and a Councilman I supported the After School Program, Police Schools Resource Officer, continued improvements to our Town infrastructure, and the Development of Spring Lake Beach. I also served on the Building Committee for the Steere Farm Elementary School. "My only promise is to serve and protect Burrillville and Northern RI to the best of my ability. Northern RI will need a stronger "Democratic Team" to protect it, fight for it and fund it. I welcome the opportunity to work along with the other Council Members and our State Legislative Team serving the people of Burrillville should they allow me the honor, once again. I only promise to listen and do what is beast for all of Burrillville's Citizens - so please I want to hear what you think, not what you think I want to hear." |
